Multi-task when exercising!
We understand perfectly when you say that you can’t find enough time to go to the gym. I mean, really… who has that luxury? You have enough activities on your plate that you hardly have enough time to sleep. So definitely gym time is taking its place in the back burner. Nonetheless, that does not mean that you have to go skulking off in the dark and worry about your misfortune. There are many simple, everyday exercises that burn fat without the need for a gym membership you know.
First of all, you need to determine your most active period. This is critical in weight loss management. This is essentially why you see some early birds up and jogging about at the crack of dawn and some dusk-riser types favoring night work-outs. Try to determine when you feel the most energetic. Even if you are somewhat on the lethargic side, you are bound to feel normal bursts of energy sometime during the day. Find out when that is so that you know when you could start your regimen of simple, everyday exercises that burn fat in the easiest possible manner.
Multi-tasking is also one of the best exercises that burn fat. However, make sure that when you do multi-task, you do so as safely as possible. Here is a great scenario for both exercising and multi-tasking. Every morning, there is that bakery about 4 blocks away that sells fresh bread. You could take an early walk as a form of exercise. If you have a dog, then take the dog out for a walk as well. While you are doing that, why not stop by the open newspaper stand or even maybe go to the convenience store for a fresh batch of vegetables or meat that you could prepare later on for dinner.
You could still do this same exercise even if you do not have a dog, and that you would rather take a walk after work. Take the long way out of the office (use the stairs, if possible.) On the streets, try to go through the longest route home. You could even go to the dry cleaners while you are at. The main goal here is to try to accomplish as much errands as possible. This way, you get your cardio up a notch and finished some chores as well.
Just one note here: try not to eat while walking. Walking distracts you from your eating, which will make you feel unsatisfied. You might end up eating more calories than you can expend while walking. If you want a drink, go for bottled water.
You could try the multi-tasking scheme at home as well. If you are particularly fond of gardening, then do so. Go for the whole hog. Lug the equipment around. Prune the shrubs. Mulch the garden bed outside your bedroom window. Instead of using the gasoline powered lawn mower, you could try working a manual tool instead. Yes, it does take a longer time to finish mowing the lawn, but at least you get enough gardening exercises that burn fat while you are making yourself quite useful.
