The Best Non-Abs Fat Loss For Abs Exercises
Pretty much everyone knows about the standard abs exercises: crunches, leg lifts, situps, and so on. But maybe everyone is missing something important. Maybe, like in so many other areas of life, an indirect approach to developing your abs is better. Did you know that some of the best abs exercises of all, aren’t traditional abs exercises at all? But make no mistake. These exercises are tough on your abdomen and entire core. They’ll work your abs in ways you may never have experiences. Would you like to know more?
Renegade Dumbbell Row
The Renegade Dumbbell Row will surely give your gut a workout. You do these by holding a dumbbell in each hand, then assuming the standard pushup position. But you aren’t going to do a pushup. Rather, using your legs and other arm to stabilize yourself, row one of the dumbbells to your chest. You’ll feel this in your entire core, including the abs.
Lower the dumbbell to the floor, then row the other dumbbell to your chest, again stabilizing yourself with your legs and the arm that is still down. That’s one repetition.
The Mountain Climber
Here’s another exercise that starts from the pushup position, but works your abs rather than your chest. Starting in pushup position. Draw one of your feet forward as if you were climbing a mountain (even though you are doing this on the floor). As you do this, draw your knee up toward your chest. Return your leg to the starting position, then repeat the motion with the other leg. That’s one repetition.
Dare To Try These
Not impressed? Thinking that these exercises aren’t going to do anything for your abs? Why not put your money where your mouth is and try them. Add one or two sets of ten for each of these exercises into your next workout, and see how your abs feel afterward.
